Scratch on headlight

My Ride: BMW 535d, Titanium Gray Metallic, Auburn Dakota Leather, Poplar Wood Trim, Executive, Vision line, Heated sport seats, Star Spoke Style 122, HiFi 10 speakers, nokia ck-7w

When you have a scratch on your headlight, can you change the only the plastic front site, or do you only can replace the whole unit??

The whole unit, If you have adaptive xenons its gunna be expensive. On older models you can change just the lense.

mdoorman, do you know how you got the scratch. Can you provide a pick. Are the lenses supposed to be scratch resistance (less a rock/boulder hitting it)?

If it has scratch, leave it as is. If you try to polish it, it'd not work. Guarantee.

I've never tried it, but it might work. Certainly a lot cheaper than replacement.
