I live close to the BMW US manufacturing plant in South Carolina. I have noticed that BMW lets some of their managers drive new models before they have been released (recently did with new Z4). One of the senior managers lives in my neighborhood and this morning I saw a white E60 530i with what appears to be the type 138 wheels of the non-sport package parked in his driveway. It was not in the garage but appeared to be parked "on display". I did not approach the car up close but from 30 yards away, it looked great. The sharpness of the concave/convex shapes does not stand out like in some of the photos. The appearance is very balanced (would have been nice to have an E39 next to it to compare size). If it is there this evening I will stop by and ask him if I can look at it (hopefully drive it?).

I have a Jet Black 545i 6 speed on order. Spoke to the dealer today and it is still scheduled for week 38 production.
