Sounds like you have something aftermarket that was added because the Sirius antenna is in the shark fin, traditionally located above the rear window. What you have is probably for something else.

I didn't even think I had the antenna due to only have the option for cd, aux, and radio in my idrive system, but I do have a fin as well as this lil magnet antenna in the middle of my front windshield just right above it on the actual car rather than the glass, I will take a pic of it tonight, maybe its something old owner had added or something like that.
