Default Sat Radio/ Sirius

Hey everyone! Been awhile since I been on here

I just had a quick question and was hoping someone could explain it for me.

I bought my car used back in 2010 ish and I've had sat radio working since, but today I noticed it wasn't working and I was prompted with a ESN Number?

How would I go about making this work again?

Thanks in advance!

Are you paying for a Sirius subscription?

Sounds like they caught up with you. The previous owner probably transferred his lifetime subscription to another radio. There should be an 800 number associated with the message, no? Call them and they will reactivate you (for a price).

Yeah, it sounds like you got one hell of a deal. The best offer I've seen lately is $30 for 6 months, but you have to keep renegotiating that with them (and threaten to leave) every 6 months. It sucks! I finally cancelled for good on both of my cars and now I just stream Pandora through Bluetooth.

I have an '05 that I acquired a little over a year ago w/ the SAT radio still working. The sound quality is pretty horrible though... like it's a low quality low bitrate transmission. If it stopped working tomorrow, I def would not pay for it.

I bought an 04 525i and for some reason it has the Sirius antenna that goes right above front windshield but yet no option for it in my idrive or wh8atever youd wane call the entertainment section nor does the car have GPS so I'm wondering why it has the antenna, did they all come with it but only certain models actually have use for it?
