you don't specify, but if you have Navigation, it is still a no go on the integrated Sirius. If you don't have NAV, it is like $395 for the parts plus 1 hr labor (maybe 2 if the tech doesn't know what he's doing), so maybe $450 total. And it is integrated w/ the iDrive, do a search for some earlier discussions on Sirius.

John W is correct, Sirius only, antenna in the shark fin. If you want/prefer XM, you'll have to add the "mouse" antenna to the roof or trunk and use the FM modulator, therefore no integration w/ iDrive.
Parts needed:

Are they external parts or just electronic components that go inside the dashboard and connect to iDrive??

If you're prewired, these parts on Circle are the ones you need. It's a receiver with a bracket and the mounting bolts. All of this goes in the trunk with the other electronics - mine's going in today, so maybe I can post pics later on. In any case, I couldn't figure out how to get the thing in myself, and even if I had, the system has to be re-programmed to feature the sat radio.
So, yes, they're electronic components, they go in the trunk, and you can't do it yourself, due to the re-programming needed.
I opted to pay up the extra $50 for the parts at my dealer, rather than Circle, so that they are responsible for end-to-end. The last thing I wanted to see was me bringing them parts, then something in the software not working right and them telling me to deal with the parts issues. It just makes sense to me to pony up and buy everything at the installing dealer in this particular case.

I bought the CPT9000 parts from Circle and ended up taking them to the dealership, they charged me $177USD for the installation (Supposed to take 1 hour) and TCU prog., at least it worked.
How much are they charging you for the parts installation?
