[/quote]I had a loaner 2004 545. It didn't have the nav disc so I put a music CD in and it worked fine.... No troubles in the 11 days that I had it.

More dealer BS, to the point that if you look in your list of sources under CD (assuming you have the 6 disc changer), you will see
DVD CD CD1 CD2........
DVD is greyed out when you have the Nav disc in, but becomes available for selection when you add a CD.

On a similar note, I wonder how long it will be before we see multichannel SACD capable players / systems as factory fit in car. Are there even any aftermarket SACD in-car players?
