I would rather get a Lambo.
a gallardo "superleggera" for example - it looks like a Lockhead F22 Raptor - thats pretty cool - this is what I meant - a hard loud car, a male car.

ok, ok,
so many Ferrari Fans in here
Sorry, not my car, not my brand - maybe a 997 turbo, a Maserati Quattroporte, just cool car's (like e60's
) as cool as the driver are , IMO Ferrari and its drivers are some kind of poser
And no, I'm neither jealous nor saying Ferrari is not a perfect car - just thought, BMW is the dimension

If someone has a Ferrari they are "some kind of poser"?! Are you kidding me? You would choose a Maserati Quattroporte over the Ferrari F430? From a performance standpoint (and looks although subjective obviously), the 430 blows the Maserati away. The 997 is an amazing car. I drove a 2007 997 turbo and it is ridiculous, but I would still choose the 430 over the 997.

I see it as an upgrade more then anything else.
As much as I love BMW, a Ferrari just blows it away.
i beg to differ
if i owed an M5, i would not trade it in, in fact i dont like ferraris, in fact i dont like coupe or 2 door cars, dunno why, but they just dont do it for me, always had a 4door saloon car
however there is one 2 door i like, it is Guess?
M6, OR 6 SERIES, other than that no others, not even the M3,(Unless 4door M3E90)
GOOD LUCK TO YOUR MATE ANYHOW..........

Yes, you are right, the F 430 is a very good car, I think so also, but I never want to own such a car. IMO my car has "to tell me a story" when I look at - a Ferrari never would do this to me - 100% subjective!! This is the reason I would surely choose a Quattroporte or a 997 - but I'm able to accept, that you would choose the F 430 - no problem.
I've started this tread to hear your opinions, whatever it will be
BTW, we are talking about "dreams", even F 430 or others...

"...Given that the F430's price can easily break the $200,000 barrier, it's understandably difficult for many people to consider this Ferrari as an "entry-level" machine. Even for the well-heeled, the F430's cost might seem a little excessive considering that cars like the Corvette Z06 or the Porsche 911 Turbo offer similar (or better) performance for considerably less money. But there's no denying that the Ferrari F430 is an exceptional sports car by every measure. In terms of performance, it has but a handful of equals and even fewer superiors. It won't be mistaken for anything but a Ferrari, and will no doubt bring thoroughly satisfying ownership to the fortunate few able to afford one..."
"... The Ferrari F430 derives its power from a mid-mounted, 4.3-liter V8 engine. Its 483 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque is sent to the rear wheels through either a traditional six-speed manual or Ferrari's electrohydraulic F1-style transmission controlled by paddle shifters. The F430 also has an electronically controlled "E-diff" rear differential that helps to improve acceleration and vehicle balance. At full gallop, the F430 can hit 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds and tops out just shy of 200 mph. Reining all this in are antilock brakes and driver-adjustable traction and stability controls..."
