I was wondering if anyone knew which cars did or did not come with the Ruthenium insert on the auto steptronic shifters? They are now discontinued and replaced by a titanium insert one (not sure why they d/c). I have an 07 and I had my original shifter replaced a couple years ago and I dont remember if it was or was not ruthenium. They ended up screwing up and putting an e90 auto shifter on and I didnt realize until this year that they totally lied to me. They told me the original E60 style was discontinued and this is what they are using. Well on realoem I came across the fact this was not true and the e60 shifter simply had the ruthenium replaced with titanium.

So long story short I ordered and installed a titanium insert shifter and it seems to match my ruthenium trim on my steering wheel quite well but wondering if it indeed looks different than the actual ruthenium shifter.
