Hello peeps.
Been a while since I have been on here.....
I have recently traded in my old 520d for an LCI 525d. Brilliant car, love the 3.0l lump and when you plant the throttle the sound it makes is astounding. Its hard to believe the noise is coming from a diesel
Anyway enough ramble heres the question.....
I used a Spider tuning box on my old 520, which I can have remapped to suit the 525 for a very reasonable price. However I have read on this Forum and elsewhere that the auto box on the 525d is only rated to 400nm of torque, which is bad because if I fit the box it takes the torque up to 510nm.
Have any 525d LCI owners who have had their car chipped or fitted a tuning box too, suffered any transmission problems?
Any expert views would be appreciated as I don't want to inflict any long term damage to my car, I intend keeping it for a while
