Cool

...all I can say is WOWWWWWW! What a difference. I noticed the difference immediately - as I pulled out of the dealer lot. It feels brand new again, an entirely new driving dynamic, and most importantly - quiet! It might be that it's back to the feel of when it was brand new and I just lost that feeling over time...regardless, it's a great feeling.

Again, I had the 3/04 Build Dunlop RFTs...they said they would replace with Bridgestone's but, I ended up with Dunlop SSTs as the replacements.

My Service Advisor didn't know if they were RFs or not...I'm going to confirm with the Service Manager tomorrow...BMW covered 100% called a DSM AUTHO regarding my PUMA Case.

This board is great! Thanks for all the info...it helped me with getting the tires covered 100%...happy driving!

RFTs should be marked with a star/*, DSST or RFT..

I think this board has a lot to do with many of us getting replacements...

It's likely you new tires are runflats as well. You can look on the tire to determine if they are or not. If they are runflats, there will be a circle with the letters "RSC" inside (runflat system component) stamped somewhere on the sidewall.

Here's a pic of what you're looking for:

Glad to hear that you got the replacements as well. My replacement Bridgestones are still quiet after some 3000 miles. The sound of silence is wonderful, isn't it!

Sounds nice!

Our run-flats (Bridgestone, Potenza 245/45R17) does sound pretty much to! Specially from 50 km/t up to 140 km/t. :'(

Did you guys get brand new tires from BMW (for free) without runflat because of the noice ??

If yes; what should I tell my dealer, because they will just say as usual "what? never heard of it!".

I really want some other tires on this great car..

My Dunlop RFs are still quiet. Don't know how long it will stay this way, but have enjoyed a year with no wheel rash, mostly thanks to the RF, not necessarily my driving.

Paasan, Rudy - Bingo = * and RSC! Thanks!

They are Runflats Wassy...and just got back from another drive...it is absolutely amazing the difference...i'm beginning to think this car never felt like this - even when i picked up brand new off the boat...

Again, thanks Jeffnin it was your post originally that helped me fight and get these 100% covered.

Glad to hear yours are good JDN!

E60Sim, I was supposed to get Bridestone as replacements but, yes BMWNA 50% and I think my dealer may have picked up the other 50% to cover 100%...

This car is amazing! I can even hear the engine revs better...no more runflat-i-tus!

That's awesome, I am wondering if these are the NEW reworked Dunlops.. any shot of getting some numbers off the tire, exact description, etc?
