Wink

Basically, about 2 weeks ago I got a tyre punture warning on the M6 motorway, I was doing about 80mph.

Bah, I thought, crappy faulty sensor problem! There was abolutely no change in the feel or handling of the car.

I then drove a further 500 miles or so, during that time I got a couple of further warnings and I discovered that I had a slow puncture in one tyre.

Just had the tyre changed this morning there were two nails in it - ?180 , but for runflats they allowed me to drive perfectly normally for ages, no more middle of the night tyre changes for me

I forgot to add: they do affect ride quality a little , but the safety benefits far outweigh the disadvantages.

?180 for the tyre. That sounds reasonsable but still a lot. Its the 17" wheels you got right? Dread to think what the 18" will be.

I think I saw about ?150 from blackcircles.com when I browsed a few months ago, but ATS is around the corner from the office, and the guys in there give good service, so I didn't mind too much.

browellm, we are going to be seeing you in Dunlop commercials. That's outstanding and good to know.

browellm,

Did you hear noises or loud noise when driving on a flat tyre? When I had a puncture the noise was so loud that people were looking at my car as I was driving by. Obviously when you're in the car you only hear a slight "clicking" noise.

You need to drive off after you start the initializing. The car won't initialize when parked.

Those prices aren't too bad if you can replace on your schedule. It's the emergency replacements that seem to hurt the most. But, with browellm's experience, there may not be that many emergencies.
