[/quote]They better. I just bought a pair of Dunlop Winter Sport M3s that are supposed to be runflat. I haven't seen them yet, but there should be a DSST logo on them.

The dunlop wintersports M3 are available with dsst (I got them). Haven't tried them yet in real life but we'll see this winter..
Second.. I also discovered the noise is very depending on the type of tarmac. In the city of Delft they have one street with whispertarmac to reduce noise for the people who live near the road.. My car is sooooo quiet when I drive on that road, it's 50% less noisy.
The open tarmac specially designed to get water of the road quickly (called ZOAB tarmac over here) is very noisy with my car due to the open structure of the tarmac.

I, too, noticed that the type of road affects the amount of noise. I'm not sure that's any different than any tire -- it's just more noticeable with these tires...

I agree with you about this.. The runflats only reflect the sound twice as hard as normal..
