I took delivery of my car about two weeks ago and had been anticipating driving on the run-flats with slight resignation. I noted on delivery that I received the Dunlap DSSTs that everyone notes get louder as they age. Everything was as I expected it to be when ordering the 545 with sports package. Today while further exploring the car I was startled when I lifted up the trunk mat and found a spare, a jack setup in there.
From what everyone has posted before I thought the spare and jack were left out when you received the run-flats. Was I mistaken or might this be a new MY05 thing?

Checked, not on the invoice. Have to wait until I get home to look at the window sticker.

I just checked the window sticker.
The car does have the run-flats, but no jack or spare listed. Can someone else in the U.S. with MY05 that has the run-flats check and see if they have a spare also?

I have a MY 04 545i (purchased May 04) with runflats that came with spare and jack...believe it is standard issue in the US...jack came in handy (very well designed) when swapping in my winter tires this past weekend
Yes, spare and jack are standard in US, even with runflats. It's a low-mileage spare on a basic wheel. On the E39, I got an identical tire/wheel combination to those on the car. Really nice touch, but it always seemed silly to have $1,000 worth of spare tire in the trunk, which I never used in 3 years of ownership.
I like having the spare, as it gives me the option of moving away from run-flats when the time comes.

I have a 5/04 build and it came with a spare (I have RFT's). Guess some did and some didn't. The manual says that it didn't, yet there it lay.
