And another thing re this ditch them after a puncture. I had all this off my tyre dealers. Its BS for the Goodyear in any case. See this http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/r...ils.jsp?page=3
Had the same bulges appear in both front tryes on my NCT 5's before i fitted my 172's....

I'm like the rest of the group here. The car came with RFT's. Very, very noisy and harsh. Changed them over to Michelin PS2 for summer and now Alpines for the (barely) winter here in Toronto. Very happy.

No change made to setup. Had to buy the cursed spare tire kit from BMW which doesn't seem to fit in the well in the boot. I agree the outlay is a bit much but I think it's worth it.

Other than that, I'm very happy. Dang, I love this car.

Cheers

3 of my tyres have bulges in them now, with much tread remaining on all. I think it is these potholes that have appeared around the UK since it snowed, as my MOT was only 5 weeks ago.

How do the non runflats fare when driven over deep potholes? Do you scrap those for every decent pot hole as well?

I could not handle the road noise and people in my car thought I was speeding/accelerating significantly due to the noise!

I had 17" RFT but changed to a 19" non-RFT and the latter is STILL quieter!
