That's why they're called Run Flats=I'll run them until they go flat.
They are called Run Flats because you can run them, in a limited way, after they have gone flat - but only until the walls are destroyed. That is an irreversible process.

Good Year in UK, just to make the point, brand theirs "RunOnFlat".

I don't know if they make a "RunTillFlat".

Luckily I have this forum.

I called my local shop this am, they specialize in German cars. Told them I just wanted a patch on my run flats. At first they said it was not recommended, but to bring car around.

I explained that they could repair patch from inside tire as long as the sidewall was not damaged. They called someone locally and they told them the Bridgestone would be fine with a patch.

Considering I have 477 miles on car/tires and the nail went straight into tire, I'm not too worried. I'm likely never going to go over 100 mph anyway so patch should hold up just fine. Saved me $300+.

If I experience any shakes or anything I will report on it.

Thanks, good to know. Any clue about patches working or not?
I had a puncture on my runflat and had it patched from the inside. I've tested the car up to 130mph with no problems.
