i noticed this a month ago when i got my 545,

at startup



after 3/4 mile


after 4 miles

That's your warning not to exceed the marked RPM until your vehicle warms up. No need to waste gas and energy letting it idle for 10 minutes - simply drive conservatively (within the specified RPM) until the lines return back to their normal operating position.

Agreed that is what I do. Just turn it on and wait about 10 secs then drive it conservatively. It increases the engine life.

6 cylinders are higher than the V8's.

this is all new to me, i have a diesil, and mine is always no more than 4500 (or so) revs when its cold it can be like 3950 when it was really cold here in december

see and I thought this thread wasn't going anywhere.learned something new again although my lines never got that high.I would say 2 or three on intial start up before
I go to work in the morning.maybe its hot where I live.thanks for all the info guys

westcoast,any luck fitting you trunk finisher?
