Rpm jumping up when coming to a stop
I noticed that when i come to a stop and apply brakes that my rpm jumps up and then goes back down like normal, it also does this if decelerate when coming to a stop, ive read around and some say its normal behavior but i think otherwise, have any of you had any experience like this? What could the problem be? By the way its a 2010 535i auto transmission, no check engine light on dash

This issue happens to a lot of people. It could be anything to fix it but I would start at the IAC. My friend had this issue and it took me two months to figure out what was causing it because there are a lot of things that can cause it

Are you referring to the Disa Valve? Thats the idle control unit in the 2010 535i

No I was talking about the ICV but I see you car does not have one so look at the DISA valve and make sure it is still working correctly. While you have it out you should change the gasket if it work correctly.
The M54 has and ICV and DISA valve. his car ended up being the ICV was getting stuck. I cleaned it and no more issues. With yours it could be literary anything from an electrical issue, vacuum leak, VC gasket, MAF or TB connection tube to the air box. I would not not buy anything unless you know exactly what it is. Perform a good check on all of those things and I am sure you will find it. More than likely air is getting sucked in but not enough to through a code.
