Just put on my new dunlop sp 01 a/s runflats 245/40/18

Went to RPA, and restarted it, and it has been saying STILL INTIALIZING since yesterday... waited 15minutes, then 10minutes... then started driving.. and it still reads still intializing...

tomorrow will clean car, and try again.. any suggestions?

Thank you.

This issue has been discussed before... For example:
RPA Tyre Pressure Monitor

So it can take it's time. Initializing I mean...

It has sometimes taken me more than 10 minutes of non-stop driving to get the system initialized...

Yeah mine took about 10 minutes if that. I think he has a problem with one sensor.

the car should be stationary (stopped/parked) when you start the initializing process.

hmmmmm. not sure. but yes, if you hit that 'initialization start' thing, you need to drive. Seems to go faster if you have less speed variations in your trip. As it takes it's data from the ABS sensors, this sounds reasonably plausible: it looks for averages to consider 'normal status'

has nothing to do with actual pressure in the tyres, it's about time all wheels take to make one roll and then relates that to the other wheels: if one is too fast suddenly you have a flat tyre and get a warning.

not the most fantastic feature on the car.....

Im thinking you are referring to the FTM or flat tire monitor. Doesn't he have the TPM system that compares tire pressures and has sensors inside of each wheel. I know mine has sensors with the TPM and basically monitors tire pressures, not tire circumferences. Different principle, different system.
