just wondering how does the RPA work on the 5 series.
after i change the tyres pressure i go and set it and it just says RPA active.
shouldn't it tell me the pressure also? or at least tell me when the tyres lost some air? cuz it doesnt.

I think you are reffering to the tyre pressue sensor.

It uses the ABS sensor to measure the rolling diameter of the wheel.

It therefore only informs you when your tyre has lost a fair amount of air. In my experience this is in the reigon of nearly 1 bar.

Set the pressures correctly then when stationary, reset the monitor and drive for at least 10 miles.

yeah it seems to be what neil said according to the manual too. Run Flat Indicator RPA its called. and it measures the speed of the rotation of the speed, if it drops a lot it warns you.
it never went off as it only lost a few psi and it wasnt enough.
run flats aren't that great anyway, gonna change them to normal tires once they go.
