Just got my car a few days ago - its a 07 530i Auto with just over 90K on it. No engine lights or anything. Sometimes there is a rough idle, but not always. Its more noticeable when the AC is on. Also, there seems to be a slight delay in acceleration, but only from a stop. I press on the gas and its like there is no power or something and then BAM, we are off after like 3 seconds of nothing. I have read and tried the "cool trick" - insert key, hold down gas pedal for 25-30 seconds - didn't seem to fix anything.
Other than those 2 issues, car is great. Just trying to get them fixed / have a better idea of what I should be looking for when dealing with mechanic's. From all I have read, this has been a big issue and multiple dealerships have problems locking into what the exact cause(s) is/are.
Plugs were just swapped out last week - no clue about the coils or injectors. Any help would be appreciated!

Ah, congrats on the new car. I was gonna suggest plugs but it looks like you already took care of that. The issue could really be just about anything and unless you have a lot of money like I do and don't mind giving it away and wiping your ass with it, I would strongly recommend taking it to the dealer and dropping the one hour diagnostic fee. I recently had mine in for a recall and mentioned to them a few things. They will scan you car for sure in hope to get some repairs from you. A good Indy can do the same for you. This should also give you an idea of what might be lurking over the horizon...

the throttle is drive by wire, so there could be delay there.
for starters, i'd do the basics. check air filter to make sure its clean, spray/clean the maf sensor and throttle body, check to make sure all intake piping is tight.
