Hey guys, been great so far here. I noticed when my car idles at a stop sign or red light, I'm getting really rough idles. Now I've never encountered a stall or rough start in the morning. But I figured for the reputation of a BMW this vibration shouldn't be happening. Just to clean things up. No warranty remaining and just picked up the car last week. I've read in other forums that changing the idle level has fixed this, and others saying to throw some top notch premium gasoline in and run it for a bit.
What are you thoughts or experiences?
Thanks

gasoline helped me a lot along with fuel additives. I noticed at winter the idle is rougher especially on cold start.
What car do you have?

i started using shell instead of chevron - and noticed that engine is smoother now. as for additives - i don't remember (bmw indy shop near me sells them). something like ""44K"..
by the way, when i had a car with inline 6 (e39) i never experienced rough idle. I thought it's just v8 engines, but seems like not

but don't expect it to happen right away - it takes time (may be couple tanks) to notice the difference.
I hope it helps you too
