Hello everyone.
Can any one let me know the rotor thickness required to be resurface. Want to avoid removing them twice.
I am getting close to do front and rear break pads and want to measure all 4 rotors and see if they can shave them or if I need to start ordering new sets.
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks

You can resurface BMW rotors like any other rotor (again, $tealer will tell you otherwise). All brands of rotors are stamped (on edge of rotor) with a minimum thickness, and if there is the possibility that your rotors have been replaced by non-OE rotors you should check this stamp.
For OE 528i rotors the minimum thickness (mm/in) is 28.4/1.11 for front and 18.4/0.72 for rear.
