My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i - no mods. Pretty basic really. I mean it has tires, windows, and a sweet look, what more could a man want? Honestly, I'd like to improve the sound system mildly, and possibly find a worthy engine mod that would increase my BHP by 100 without giving an arm and a leg for. I don't think it's out there, so I'll stay stock and love driving my 530i.

Personally, stick with OEM's. They aren't bad, and if you're not racing slotted or cross drilled rotors are a tad bit overkill. Now if the price of slotted/x-drilled and OEM are the same then I'd go with slotted...
Also don't go cheap... Seriously, I purchased front rotors from Bavauto.com and those rusted around the hub (nice $99 per rotor too!). They didn't have the rear so I purchased those from BMW, and they did not rust... Car looks all whacky now with shitty fronts and nice and clean rears. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just wanted to share my experience.

I carry blanks as well.
R1Concept Blanks
Front - $120/pair
Rear - $85/pair
The R1Concepts have a zinc coating on the hub so they won't rust; if by change they do, I sent out a completely new set no charge.

Check out Stoptech's offerings. Their rotors are offered in slotted / cross drilled varieties and their STPERF brake pads are nice too, in fact - it's the standard pad that comes on their BBKs. The rotors are electrostatically coated with a durable, black finish for rust protection, and looks the part as well.

I went with the recommended setup from Michael and they looked nice and stopped fast. The only regret I have is under breaking((w/ slotted n drilled), you hear a humming sound or a what sounded like the breaks were resonating after a few seconds of being on the brake slowing down. Drove me absolutely nuts.
