just curious, all E60's have the roof fin. I bought my car ex-demo but saw the factory spec on the sales guys computer and it did not show my car as having bluetooth or phone prep.

I do though have the fin along with the sliding armrest (probably got that due to the Adv AC) and also inside the armrest is the secondary hinged stowage comparment that i guess would hold the optional phone cradle.

so given all those points is there likely to be any wiring in my car to allow BT to be retrofitted easily? or do all E60's come with the fin, the stowage compartment etc etc....just wondering

 

Yep, I think the fin is standard equipment. Here in the US, every car gets a "Bluetooth Paskey" although bluetooth isn't availiable yet... so I guess thats buletooth prep.

Yep they do but all are not created equally. For example the SAT Radio or prep includes the SAT antenna in the fin.

 

The fin is also used for NAV and for the integrated cell phone as a booster antenna.

 

It can contain up to 4 antennas depending on the options the car has. The only one not mentioned so far is the antenna for the built in cellphone used for BMW Assist, which comes with every E60
