My Ride: 2008 Alpine White 550i Sport, Cream Beige Interior, 6-Sp Manual - retired 9/2011
My dealership tried to pass of 2 curbed rims as new on my '08 550i. The problem for them was that I knew both wheels had been curbed during others' test drives. I had seen the curbing on both occasions...and I didn't do it....seriously.
The front one looked decent, but the rear was very obvious....So BUSTED! Needless to say, I got 2 new wheels/tires off another 550i that was there. I hope they told the other guy, whose car had just come in off the boat.
Wanderlei, make sure you take a very close look afterward!

Don't get too upset, if it wasn't for him you wouldn't be around or have the car.

Yeah I know guys, I was being sarcastic I was just a lil frustrated at the moment.

You got off light here. My dad, God love him, shifted my 964 a few summers ago from 5th to 3rd at 150 mph. The 964 has full syncro transmission, the car went into gear, and wham, lost everything aft of the gear box. My Porsche man figured the engine held together till around 11,000 rpm, and then gave up. Spread engine parts, metal shavings, and oil for almost 200 yards. Dad made the comment that an engine rev limiter seems to be worthless when downshifting.
OUCH! lol Rev limiter is worthless while down shifting!
Funny I have a 86 944 turbo and last summer he (my pops) actually backed into it and dent my door! Still haven't fixed it....that old man!

Look to pay around 150 per rim to have that fixed, thats what i paid to have 2 of mine fixed up. Sux when it happens especially when u didnt scratch them.
150 is not that bad as long as they look good again.

Shouldn't say those things about your dad.
But anyway, go to this place: http://www.wheeltechniques.com/
They've been in business for over 2 decades and have fixed my old wheels a few times. They're in Santa Clara off Trimble and 101.

You should come out to one of our meets next time. Haven't seen your car around. I used to work off N First St and Guadalupe but now my office is on Great America Pkwy near 237.
