Aftermarket springs that will come closest to stock suspension will be Eibach Pro Kit. For the 530 non-sport, it'll drop the car 1.2" all around.

Here's another quick question - does anyone know what the OEM sports suspension consists of? I'm wondering if it would make any sense to purchase the springs feom BMW if that's all it is. I'm sure it would be more money (probably a lot more) but it may be a better ride than the Eibach setup.

I just put a special set of 166 24" Chrome rims on mine.

What a sweet ride!!! I'll have some pics shortly!

See, I know you're pulling my leg. If you were running 24" wheels, you literally would have rubber bands for tires. Besides, I don't think 24"s will fit in the wheel well.

Before and after with Eibach springs and 18s (Thinking about changing wheels to larger diameter)

My Ride: '04 530I, '98 328I & '94 Civic DX(5spd)

what if you put 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear, will it not lessen the gap or is it even possible to have that kind of a setup?

It will fill the gap nicely, but you'll be running out of spec. Your odometer will read slower. If you're okay with that then it's not a problem.

Its not the M5 spec, but it is the same size tyre that comes on the M172s, which can be ordered from the factory with the M-Sport pack. This is the spec I have and it was also approved by the German authorities / TUV. So shouldn't be any problems with the odometer on an E60 - or am I missing something here?
