Hey guys I am getting my rims next week from Nick at JLEVISW
The rims and tires are already coming mounted and balanced from LA
I wanted to know where do you guys think I should get them actually mounted on my car
Does it make a difference if it is BMW or any gas station can even throw them on
Do you have to align the car after the new rims/tires have been put on
First time I am putting rims on my car so I dont know
Any help is appreciated

Assuming your alignment is ok now, there should be no need for another alignment. If you were getting springs/shocks or coilovers installed, I would agree with getting an alignment but not just for the wheels. You should be able to mount them yourself if you have access to a flat level service and a jack.
Can anyone confirm? I could be wrong.

If there is nothing wrong with the alignment now, why mess with it? Are the current tires wearing evenly? Does the car pull? If the answers are yes and no leave the alignment alone. As for mounting the wheels, I change my summer tires for snows and back again every year. It's easy with a decent lug wrench and jack.
Also the odd times I have had somebody pull my wheels for service I ALWAYS find tool marks/gouges from the damn air wrenches on at least one of my wheels. If you want your new wheels to stay that way, do it your self.

You should definitely install it yourself.
Buy another jack from an Autostore, makes life easier.
And you might have to re-balance the wheels cause sometimes the shop that sends it to you might not have it right. I have to rebalance my rims I got recently.
and make sure the offset for your car is right, since your car is an XI, its sometimes harder to find the right wheel.
Also, BMW, or a shop could mess up your wheels. So I would go install it yourself.
If you are concerned about alignment and such, you can always go 2 Firestone and get the lifetime alignment. I'm glad I got it cause I've changed suspension twice and its paid for itself already.
Good luck and post pics.

I purchased some new rims a few weeks ago to put on my new 2008 BMW as well.
They came with the tires and balanced.
I did the mounting, one at a time, using the jack that the vehicle came with.
No issues with the alignment etc...
All is well..
