Rim
#1
Now i have done this many times and never had any problems. Took the car through auto car wash today, and i had a little trouble getting the wheels just ride on the auto-sensor thing for the car wash. Not a big thing i assume. Wash is done, and i start drying the car off with a towel, i notice insane dings on my front driver side rim? Where did this come from, it had to have been the car wash thing. Damn it! cant win for losing!
Anyone else "effed" their rims from a Auto-Wash?

i have different stocks then you though, i assume you have the 243 style wheels. i have the 135m style. not to sure which wheel sticks out further. but i might have to lay off the tracked car washes from now on

My Ride: 525d M Sport in Carbon Black
I'll have had my e60 a year from new soon, thus far I have only hand washed, I would suggest the best way to avoid autowash dings is to take time out to do it by hand, brushless autowash would be my only choice but the nearest one is 30 miles from home so by the time i drove there and back the car would be dirty all over and need handwashing, sorry but to me it's a no brainer... do it yourself.

Yep yep. Wash it yourself.
Take some time and DIY it
I do so cause when my bros borrow my car
I'll see if they messed up anything, you broke it you bought it
And you will have peace of mind after your done
and lets not forget a clean and shiny car
