Right Parking Lamp Malfunction... but still works

I cleaned the contacts as they were a bit hazy idk if that makes sense but no corrosion at all move some wires around also I think the contacts were the problem thanks for the help! Never thought the contacts could have caused this

I'd go one step further. When I remove connectors like that one, I squirt in a little dielectric grease after making sure the contacts and seal look good. Home Depot has CRC Dielectric Grease in the electrical section or Permatex has some at the auto parts store.

I'll be sure to go to Home Depot soon as I'm done at a appointment.. should i also put this on taillight bulb connectors? I have particular bulb in my right rear tail light that likes go out after about every year..

I put a little dielectric grease on just about anything that is subject to water infiltration. Most of them are silicone based and have the consistency of Vaseline. They also serve to lubricate the watertight gasket in the connector housing.

Taillight probably not necessary as that is protected inside the trunk and not subject to the elements.
