Unhappy Right License Plate Light Not Working

I got an alert last week that the right license plate light was out. The light bulb had simply burned out. I replaced the light bulb and the alert went away and all was well. Then a day later I got the alert again.

The light was out.

I did a continuity check on the light socket and the bulb and it has continuity. I removed the socket and there is no voltage at the connector.

The left license plate bulb is working just fine.

Is there a fuse or something that could be open causing this or why is there no voltage coming out of the socket?

As others have said, it is the wiring in trunk lid hinge. Read the thread 'very unusual boot opening problem ' and read my posts there and you will find the info you need to fix..
