ride height too high?

My Ride: 2004 545i Sport
I noticed on my 545i there is almost an inch of clearance betwwen the wheel well edge and the top of my 124s. This seems very high to me. My friend's 530i on stocks tire's fit flush with the top edge of the wheel well.
Is it just me or is my car sitting abnormally high? Would anyone have any pictures of stock 545is on 124s? Thanks.
