Hmmmm... I can't remember whether I have seen this in the manual...

Is there some under-bonnet(hood) lever to switch the orientation of the headlight from RHD to LHD configuartion?

Any implications for adaptibve bi-xenon?

Well I've reread the "turn the stoppers & pull the lever" instructions in the online manual but without the car I'm none the wiser. I guess adaptive will just "get on with it".

Glad to see your avatar is back from the dentist and plastic surgeon.

Thanks for the pointer which could've been found by lazy old me quite easily had I tried. Oooops & sorry.

I believe that thread was as clear as the manual I read so I just have to look under the bonnet(hood) when I can.

I constantly use them, as I go back to Germany about 3 times a year and they work no problem. I have the Bi-Xenons, too. Just turn off the lid on top of the headlights and flick the levers to the correct position as mentioned in manual. Very easy.

It doesn't reall adjust them, but I guess it changes the position of the reflectors, so takes out the high part of the left oriented beam to avoid dazzling.

Even with the Xenons, I only get the rare flash on the mainland, so it must do the job at least half decent.

It's a proper adjustment. The high part moves from the left side to the right so it does the job 100% decent :-)

It is not 100% decent. Why do you think there are still different part numbers for the headlights of rhd and lhd cars ? If they would be readjusted 100% there wouldn't be any need for it, wouldn't it?

The general aim of the headlights still stays focussed to the left, with the beam on the left still longer than on the right (and vice versa)

My mistake then. I was sure it was one part number and that the adjustment is 100% correct. I have a vague memory of reading that somewhere in a manual but maybe it was in a different car?

I wish you would have been correct, though, would have made my night driving on the continent much easier.
