There have been many posts on this Forum about repairing Runflats, including some from myself.
I happened to browse to www.etyres.co.uk whilst looking for some (non-RFT) tyres.
They have a page that quotes Michelin approving puncture repairs to BS AU159 standard.
This covers the latest ZP tyres only.
The page goes on to say that Michelin are currently the only Company to approve this, and Pirelli categorically state that RFT's should not be repaired.

I have had punctures repaired to runflats about 7 times now. It is not a problem, as long as you don't drive too long with zero pressure in them.
You have to find a tyre shop willing to do it though..

SAME HEAR THE FIRST TIME I GOT A PUNCTURE I BROUGHT IT TO BMW THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIX IT AND THEY WANTED $450 FOR A NEW TIRE
...LOL...LOL... FU^K THAT S&^T.... I FOUND A TIRE SHOP TO FIX IT I SAVED $425... FOR THOSE THAT LIVE IN BROOKLYN OR QUEENS... NEW YORK CITY THAT IS....... ((((WHITEY`S ON ATLANTIC AVE))))) WILL DO IT FOR YOU....

Had a puncture from a nail last week...car was only 3 weeks old! I only lost about 10 psi before I caught it the next day, so the tire didn't go all the way flat.
Anyway, I called my SA and asked him what to do. He said that the RFTs could not be plugged, only patched...and recommended going to a place like Les Schwab (I think they're all over the west coast) and not the dealer. For only $20 I was all patched up and out the door in 25 minutes.

I have had one spike (actually a screw, in '88) in my tyres,
and even the screw didn't give me a puncture (knock on wood).
I have been driving MC's and cars since 1973.

Care to share what method of repair you used, plug or internal patch?
When I went to a smaller repair shop, I was afraid that they don't have proper RFT equipment so I asked them to do plug repair, it works great so far.

hmmmm....still dont understand the run around from some stealers, my dealer fixed two separate RFs two different times for no charge; i've never had an issue, including running my baby up to the vmax limiter several times since...
