I am in the process of ordering a 08 550i and wanted to find out if any 06 or 07 550i owners had any issues with their Run Flat tires (cupping/uneven wear/pulling to right)? I have a 05 545i with 17k miles and the tires have been replaced 2 times under warranty because of uneven wear and car pulling to the right.

Thanks

My car has Dunlop RFTs with almost 10K miles and they are still in very good shape. I keep pressure somewhat high though: 38F/39R. I would insist on Bridgestones if possible. They seem to be lees troublesome and have much better traction, especially in wet.

Had Dunlop RF on my 2004 530. Replaced because of uneven wear at 15k, similar to all the info I pulled up on the forum. I believe the 2008 550 sport comes with19 nonRF tires. Check yourself, but I ordered a 2008 550 sport and was told, and read, non RF.

Do the 06 - 07 550i's come with the same RFT's as the 05 545?

My 07 550 sport came with Bridgestone RFs. I haven't had any problems with them....seem very susceptible to tramlining...but other than that, and a slightly rough/noisy ride, they are not bad. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to stand them. When they wear down a bit, I will most like replace with non-RFs for a better ride.

I would say yes. My 2005 545 had Bridgestone RE 050A, 2007 550 came with Dunlop Sport (whatever). Same 124 wheels. There was rumor though that newer Dunlops are better (improved). Not sure if it is true.
