Revolution counter striped advance warning zone

So, will the 3 white stripes (in the revolution counter striped advance warning zone) will ever disappear, or are they there forever?? 2007white 530i

They are there forever, just like a normal "white band" that leads up to the red line. Think of it as a warning zone that approaches the final limit...

Or do you mean the white stripes to show the engine is "hot" and so you can hit the gas to e.g. 6000 rpm?

Those stripes are a pseudo temp gauge. As the car warms up they disappear. My car has three when at operating temperature. I am wondering this summer if I will have less.
