So, will the 3 white stripes (in the revolution counter striped advance warning zone) will ever disappear, or are they there forever?? 2007white 530i

They are there forever, just like a normal "white band" that leads up to the red line. Think of it as a warning zone that approaches the final limit...

Could someone explain me what you guys are talking about .

Sorry it could be a stupid question...
Or do you mean the white stripes to show the engine is "hot" and so you can hit the gas to e.g. 6000 rpm?

Yeah... I think that's what they're talking about. It took me a while to figure it out too.

Those stripes are a pseudo temp gauge. As the car warms up they disappear. My car has three when at operating temperature. I am wondering this summer if I will have less.

actually, that is low
the engine is cold
74 doesnoteven register as an engine temp
the warmer the car the fewer the lines
