My 2004 545i has most of the options I wanted, but it doesn't have heated front seats. Does anyone know if the heating elements and dashboard switches could be retrofit to the car (without buying new seats!). There are still a few months of winter left and I miss the bun warmer!
Thanks for any info.

I have taken the front seat apart and the heating element is a separate component under the leather, but wiring it up is a different issue. If you can find out if the car is prewired then I would say it is worth it to attempt installing it. There was a recall on seat heaters on the early e60s and they had to change elements, so dealers may be familiar with what it takes to do it or if it is prewire.
