Just got a brand new 520 with Bluetooth and professional nav. Is it possible to retrofit voice control? And how complicated/expensive is it likely to be?

you need to order the micro-phone and the voice control code at your dealer them have them fit it, the code its self will set you back a couple of hundred pound on its own plus labour for fitting the micro-phone and then a couple of hours labour for a full car re-program, might want to ask your self do you really want it?, sorry to make it sound so bad

 

If it were easy to remove I'd just give you mine. I have used mine a total o once in nearly 2 1/2 years (and that was to see if it worked - it does)

 

Do I not already have the microphone given I have bluetooth? I can use VC to dial phone numbers..... just cant control nav, AC etc.

 

maybe you just need to have it re-programmed then, only person that can answer that is the dealer im afraid

 

Try asking the dealer to do this whilst programming the car-

voice activation retrofit

It just might work out for you.
