So i'm thinking of retrofitting the heated steering wheel mainly because I want a thicker steering wheel. I would like the M-Sport steering wheel, but do not want to pay for another air bag. Does anyone know if its possible to also get the heat element working on a retrofit? Note, I did not get the Cold Weather package.

Has anyone done a heated steering wheel retrofit? How much is the steering wheel?

You can fit the heated steering wheel to get a thicker feel although it is only a small increase.
I have asked about getting the heating to work but it is not possible as there are missing wires in the steering column and a new electronic switch unit would be needed which is ?300 to ?400 by itself.
Cheaper to buy a pair of gloves I think!!!
