hahah Tell me about it
Got the car back
  • No, we can't code the system to play MP3's at all - BullTwang
  • Pulled out the AUX - As they could not get it to work PLUS left a hole and wires hanging and glovebox not connected properly...WTF
  • Still have the AUX input selection on the entertainment software even though removed
  • Fixed the lack of Base issue in the sound...pfft that they created

I Dont care how politely you hand me the keys, it is still shit service!

Basically, after (4) FOUR Visits, i am exactly where i started, but now have $500 down, a hole in some plastic and unusuable crap in my menu.

They are calling today to arrange a refund.....IT better be FULL!!

Previously, i aggreed by mouth that i would accept a refund on teh part only if they can still get the MP3 going.....

You might want to get BMW involved, It works wonders with the dealers trust me I had to do the same thing with my first E60.

First post on this site and new owner of an awesome 545i!

Wow, that sucks! I was using an FM Modulator and decided to have an Aux Input installed. I have an 04' 545i and there is no other option for my mp3 player(blown away that a car so sophisticated and advanced in every other area doesnt have a better option). The dealership charged me $89 (US) for the part and $279 for the install. It took them 3 days (and they gave me a loaner the entire time) and they had to dispatch a specialist to patch the correct computer update into the vehicle but the sound is amazing. Its the first time in the month I have owned the vehicle that I can actually enjoy the sound of the Logic7 system.

Sorry to hear that so much got messed up for you - hope the refund goes smoothly.

Well Guys, i am happier. I got the Full refund.
Yer, Jaycal3, i think i would put it down to dealer being inexperienced.
They basically told me that my CCC (The stereo unit behind the dash) was not letting them code it...

Anyways...
Now that it is back to what it was....I still Love it!
