Restraint Systems Fault
Hi all,
I've got a 2005 BMW 525D which has the restraint systems fault which I need to fix prior to passing MOT/TUV/etc. I hooked it up through INPA and got the following error codes under the SFZ module:
9B2C Control-unit fault
9B2E Control-unit fault or short circuit, safety battery terminal
Currently the car has already got a passenger airbag bypass and the seller I bought it from said it appeared once he changed the battery. I had deleted the codes, however after three start ups they would reappear. I'm thinking the issues lies in one of the below:
i) Incorrect battery type installed (VMF 60038.41 12V 100Ah)
ii) Battery not registered
iii) Either the positive/BST or negative cables
iv) SFZ Control unit itself
I think I read somewhere that the E60 was never fitted with a 100Ah originally so maybe that could be causing an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
