any chance on getting the part numbers of the 100pound and 30pound wiring?

I'm out of warranty, and need to look into doing this myself.

thank you in advance.

Yer, the minimum you can expect to pay is for the Bypass unit (if it exists) and the reset of the error code (from the dealer)

from what i understand, the bypass unit says that there is noone in the front seat. so possible issue where the bag wont deploy in an accident.

so i am leaning towards replacing the seat mat myself and getting the code reset!

Hey, I have the exact problem with my 520d. ''Restraint System Faulty''. I brought my car to my dealer in the city. When I picked up my car it seemed all fine. But after 1 hour drive home it popped up again. All they did was to replace the headrest because they told me it was defect. So I decided to bring it back the next day. The guy that were supposed to fix it told me that no warning showed, so he took my car out for a drive to see if the warning would come. No warning. The next day it popped up again at my house.

I've looked up on what could be the possible issues regarding this annoying error, and there's so much to it. Something specific I can look for to eliminate problems? Because they can't seem to find the actual problem. If they just would find out the problem they will fix it for free.

Other problems I've had is suspension warning and low battery warning, but the battery warning was a one time error and the suspension only shows sometimes when I start my car. Any ideas?

I too have this problem, what I am going to do is charge the battery and see if that fixes the issue. I will also fiddle around with the seat itself, I will report back anything I discover.
