Hi all, I have a 2005 BMW E60 525D, with the following errors related to the SFZ control module:
9B2C Control-unit fault
9B2E Control-unit fault or short circuit, safety battery terminal
ISTA D, suggested I check for any corrosion in my battery terminals, but they were clean so the next step was to change the SFZ control module itself. I did so, by buying a brand new one and editing my VIN, flashing the module, coding it to default and starting system time.
The car was error free for a day or so, but the same exact error popped up afterwards.
Anyone has any suggestions on what the issue may be?
My thoughts are either incorrect programming/coding procedure (I followed Post #30 in the following link; https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...4#post12247234).
In addition, whilst coding I noticed a few modules which had no VIN but instead having "000000" or "ÿÿÿÿÿÿ". Could this cause the issue, some of the modules included the ZGM, SIM/SGM, DSC, ZBE, SBSL & SBSR.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
