REST Function

Iceman is right (as always)

It uses the residual warm air.

It only works as long as there is warm air.
If you drive just 2 miles (in example) there wouldn't be any warm air, so the REST function wouldn't work at all. If there is enough warm air, it works up to 30 minutes. [/quote]
Well duh!~

OK, just for Iceman;

It seems to switch off earlier than before, even though the engine is on full temp. So in similar conditions, the result seems to be different now.

You said yourself that you had a feeling and it could be your imagination... That's why I described it. You didn't say "even though the engine is on full temp" in your previous post...

Hhhmmm... Foglights!? Well - if you have them on when you drive they might create some heat too...

hmm ahh, that's why sometimes my rest function doesnt work...not enough residual warm air since my engine isn't warm enough. understood.
