I understand what the purpose of the resistance on the IDrive controller is for and just was wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem (I think) with it.
When you are on certain menus where you must scroll down you get to the bottom of the complete list of items before there is resistance.
BUT on other menus that are exactly the same (satellite radio stations for instance) when you get the bottom of the list of items that are visible, the IDrive controller has resistance, and then you have to hold it turned to the right to keep going down the list with the controller constantly trying to jerk back to the left?
I hope i am being clear in explaining this, basically what i am getting at is it seems that the controller is not consistent with the menus that require scrolling up & down.
I have Nav Pro, Ill try to mess with a few of my menus later and post the results of what menus do it and which dont on mine.
Just Curious if anyone else has noticed it

In Europe, I got it also: in the nav menue, I cannot scroll the whool list of countries unless if forcing.
This is a known defect (sa far I could see on German forum).
I suggest to wait up to software version 17

It's normal. The slight resistance on eg. the CD list, lets you know when going from last to first song again or vv. and the the "back lash" resistance is there to
advise you that there is more data in the list.
Bad or good HMI, is up to the individual I guess.
