Hey Folks,

I had a flat tire 2 weeks ago and I replaced it with new tire on my 2004 E60 530i BMW, but the error on the idrive and in dash doesnt go away!!!
Anybody knows how to reset that error or get rid of it?

Thanks

First, your car must be stationary and preferably on flat ground. On or off doesn't matter as long as iDrive is powered on (2nd key position). From the main iDrive menu, press the knob down once to access the vehicle menu. Go to the vehicle settings menu. In the vehicle settings menu you should see a bar across the top that says steering wheel buttons, FTM, lighting, etc. FTM is what you are looking for. Push down on FTM and it will open a menu from which you can reset the flat tire monitor. It may take a while to complete, it did for me at least, but will stop the annoying warning. Good luck!

Another tip is check all other tyre pressures are the same then reset it as it may think in the future you have a puncture when you actually dont because of the difference in pressures

In my 2004 530I, I don't have FTM option in Idrive under the vehicle setting. I have all of Oil, Brake, Filter and etc there but no FTM. So how can I reset that?

I got the flat tire warning this morning on my '04 525i but do not have a flat tire and all 4 tires are new and the tire pressures are good. May be I did not wait long enough for the "reset" to take place, I will try again tomorrow.

Tex is it colder in houston than it usually is? Is the car sitting outside overnight? Is it showing up just in the morning? If so that is your issue. The cold weather. I have had this happen to me before and it drove me crazy.

Yesterday morning was in the 50's but since I purchased the car we have had sub-32 degree weather and I had no issues. All is good now.
