Hi,
I have replaced the Fornt brake pads(520d 2006) without sensor(changed the pads way before the wear indicator light). but I never reset the wear indicator light and from yesterday I'm getting front brake pads wear indicator light in RED and handBrake light on too. when I try to reset I get ---- then back to -9000 miles
I have used follwoing link to reset https://wiki.bentleypublishers.com/d...mment-96501766
Can someone please put me the right direction?
Many Thanks
Hus

Dont even buy the sensor. Take current Sensor(its in the drivers wheel well IIRC) Disconnect it
take the sensor out and cut it a couple inchs after where it connects to the little black box
Splice the two wires and tie the wires together,Tape it up and tuck it into the box
Reset the service light and never worry about the sensor again
Knowing when you need new brakes is pretty obvious especially just by looking at the pads

Can any mechanic shop perform a brake job on our cars or does it have to be a BMW specialist. I have a shop that's willing to do my brakes if I bring them the parts. Total cost of parts and labor <$1000.00 What do you guys think?
