172s are 19" wheels, though, so if the ones you are looking at are really 18" wheels, they are replicas.

Replicas are weird. Not many of them are of high quality, because the manufacturers know they are dodging BMW on design rights and selling to people who are price shopping. With many of them, you get little vibrations that don't go away, no matter how many times you have them balanced. Thing is, you don't know if this is going to happen with yours until you own them.

I would put 19 inch 172's on a E60. Finish the car off just perfect. 18's look just a bit too small on such a big car

 

I say get them,everyone is going to have there own say but at the end of the day its what makes you happy and from what i see they look real nice!

 

Yes, 19" 172 are awesome looking wheels. The question is whether the OP is looking at OEM 19" 172s or 18" 172 replicas.
