Replacement front brake pads
I have a 2006 530i, I am a little confused regarding replacement front brake pads.
The pads being removed have clips on the backs of both pads, however a new set of Textar pads only have clips on the back of one pad, not both.
I called two different BMW dealers and both said the OE pads only have clips on one of the pads.
Anyone come across this also? Was the part changed?

I replaced my pads with Textar also, and like you, the new pads only had clips on one side. I guess it doesn`t matter since the pad isn't going to move and I have been driving for 3000 kms since and no problems.

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
I just removed mine the other week and had the rotors turned, both of mine had clips. They held the pads in place on the caliper. The inner pad has a metal tab for contacting the rotor if all else fails.
