Went to the dealer 2 days ago to have them do a break fluid flush. Dealer had an email special for $59. Couple strange things.

First, the dealer came back and ended up charging $54 for labor + $14 for fluid, huh? Does that ever happen to you guys?

Another thing, SA said that I had to replace valve cover gasket? He said leaking was minor but that I should do it soon?

After the mysteriously jacked up the price of a printed email promotion, I don't know what to believe. I have 68k on the odo, what do you guys think?

I think you should have shown him the email promotion and asked him wtf is going on.
If you know are somewhat mechanical savvy I would just change it myself. I'd also check the spark plugs and make sure no oil has gotten into them. Another shop is to have an indy shop do it. BMW labor rates are pretty ridiculous so I'd check pricing with a few places.

Yea, I should've printed it out before I left. :/ I'm tempted to go back but they are so far away and with the traffic, its' not worth it. I was thinking of reporting them to BMW NA, what do you guys think?

The SA made it sound so intimidating, like they have to disassemble the whole engine shell to replace the seals? He said the seals themselves are cheap, quoted me about $900 to get them replaced, most of it was labor he said.
