Replace headlight glass on e60
My headlights have become so bad that they cannot be restored any further. I came across this idea of just replacing the glass on the headlight.
Has anyone done this. See link here, doable or not? I feel this is better than replacing/programming hell.

E60 headlights are held by permaseal i.e. you can not open the headlight with your oven like many others. There was a video on youtube on a new way to open it but I have not tried.
I am actually in the same boat since I wanna open my LCI AHL headlight to rewire the internal part but afraid the cost would be much higher to replace if I messed something up during the opening process.
Hope others will chime in with their expertise/experience.
